Measuring the circumference of CCC Tree #1 |
The CCC Grove is easily accessible. Hike the CCC trail from either end (from the road or the campground). At the mid point and high point of the trail, note the stand of dead old-growth trees in a swampy ravine. Below you will be CCC tree #1. If you are interested in more, hike down the East (left looking down) side of the ravine to see some more big trees
