Dedicated to finding and preserving the heritage, natural and historical, in the Snoqualmie Middle Fork Valley. Although the giant trees are the inspiration for this effort, the Middle Fork's history is fascinating and fading fast.

2010 - A New Look at the Middle Fork

Welcome to Middle Fork Giants, the place to get information on old growth forests, history, heritage, and information on the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Valley.

2010 is an especially exciting year with our film project and book coming out. We are offering extra resources this year to help publicize the beauty and history of the Middle Fork. We are working on a major upgrade of the website, you will see it evolve over the next few months. We are working to present a truly world-class resource for those who love the Middle Fork.

Giant Trees

Still the place for Middle Fork Giant Old-Growth Tree and our latest Middle Fork Road condition and information:

Visit the Middle Fork Groves with maps, descriptions and other details on where the old growth forest giants live.

Our tree log lists the big trees we have measured with a description of my techniques for measuring trees (full disclosure: no laser, unless you want to donate one to me).

Hiking is the best way to see The Middle Fork and the only way to see the big trees. We are working to further develop our hiking section. Go ahead and take a look at where we are so far:
